Commuters can now pay bus fares using bank-issued credit and debit cards on buses equipped with ticket machines, the Ministry of Transport announced.

The system was officially launched today (25) at the Makumbura Multimodal Transport Center.

This new payment method aims to resolve the long-standing issue of passengers not receiving change.

The initiative, jointly implemented by the Digital Ministry and the Ministry of Transport, will be introduced across about 20 bus routes in the first phase.
