New State Minister says target set for one year to make change in rural sport

Thenuka Vidanagamage, the State Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, under designation of ‘Rural and School Sport Infrastructure Development’, expects to assume his duties next week, along with his aligned Cabinet Minister Namal Rajapaksa, at the Sports Ministry in Colombo. “I will also be assuming duties with Minister Rajapaksa next week,” Vidanagamage told ‘The Morning Sports’ on Thursday (13). “I have been given the target by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to improve infrastructure facilities mainly of rural schools and the rural areas during my first year in office,” Vidanagamage said.
