The Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 is strictly monitoring the current Covid-19 situation in Sri Lanka and has taken all the necessary steps to safely handle the repatriation process, Military Spokesman Brig. Chandana Wickramasinghe told The Morning yesterday (24).
He said the repatriation process is currently being done following all the Covid-19-related health and safety guidelines, adding that strict measures have been taken to make sure those who are undergoing quarantine are not having any physical connection with society.
Sri Lanka has successfully managed the Covid-19 situation and is still monitoring and taking necessary precautions to avoid the threat in the future, the Military Spokesman said.
He added that the country’s quarantine process, detection, and the intelligence services are operating at full capacity to make sure the situation is under control.
