The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Response Team (SLCERT) has warned of a surge in online scams promising massive returns on foreign stock investments.

Senior Information Security Engineer Charuka Damunupola said complaints reveal financial losses between Rs. 1 million and Rs. 30 million.

He urged the public not to share personal information such as ID photos or bank details to avoid falling victim to these fraudulent schemes.
