President’s Counsel Sanjeewa Jayawardena told the Court of Appeal that the State Intelligence Service had shared a list of 129 individuals, including Easter Sunday bomber Zahran Hashim, with the CID in January 2019.
The submissions were made during the hearing of a petition filed by former SIS chief Major General (Retd.) Suresh Sallay over his arrest and detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
The court was also told that 97 intelligence reports on Zahran Hashim and his associates had been shared with the IGP and CID before the attacks. Further hearing was postponed until 21 July 2026.
