Maliban was welcomed by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) as the Sri Lanka U19 Women’s team sponsor for the ongoing Australia Women’s U19 tour of Sri Lanka.

The sponsorship marks a significant moment for Maliban as the country’s Women’s cricket shows steady progress from the age-group level to the national and international levels.

Besides the team sponsorship, Maliban will also be the title sponsor of the series.

These details were divulged to the media during a news conference convened by the officials from the SLC and the sponsor held at the SSC clubhouse on Thursday (18).

Accordingly, the ongoing series of matches, which is made up of five youth T20s and a solitary youth ODI, will be known as ‘Maliban Sri Lanka vs. Australia U19 Women’s Series 2025’. 

The officials added that the partnership will be effective throughout the current series.

“Extremely content to welcome Maliban onboard for this all-important series, which is set to give a lot of exposure for our budding cricketers.  And I am confident the sponsor will get the best value out of this partnership, as Women’s cricket is gaining popularity, not only here, but globally as well,” said SLC Head of Marketing Upul Bandara.

All matches between the SL and Australian U19 teams will be played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium (RDICS) and will be open to the public free sans a gate and will be broadcast live on SLC YouTube and Talent TV.
