A special Buddhist fundraising event was held in support of a landmark humanitarian medical initiative aimed at enhancing access to orthopedic care in Sri Lanka where a team of Thai orthopedic surgeons and medical experts from the Siriraj Hospital will work alongside Sri Lankan counterparts in delivering high-quality care in the form of knee replacement surgeries to needy Sri Lankans.
The project is scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo from 16-20 November and aims to provide 71 free knee-replacement surgeries for Sri Lankan patients who are currently enduring prolonged surgical waiting times due to resource constraints.
