The Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) has emerged victorious in the Thunukkai Pradeshiya Sabha, securing 1,594 votes and 4 seats.

The All Ceylon Tamil Congress (ACTC) followed with 1,082 votes and 3 seats, while the Democratic Tamil National Alliance (DTNA) obtained 2 seats with 804 votes.

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), National People’s Power (NPP), Independent Group 1, and the Sri Lanka Labour Party each secured one seat.
