A large influx of cricket enthusiasts from around the world arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) yesterday (15) aboard 15 private jets to attend the highly anticipated India-Pakistan T20 World Cup match held in Colombo.
The aircraft began arriving on 14 February from various countries, including India and Pakistan.
Among the distinguished passengers were Pakistan’s Sports Minister, a group of officials, ICC Chairman Jay Shah, and several billionaire entrepreneurs, these high-profile guests and fans departed on the same aircraft they arrived on.
Yesterday, India secured a commanding victory over Pakistan by 61 runs in a Group A clash at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, adding an exhilarating chapter to the tournament.
