A special sitting of Parliament was held today (30) at 9:30 a.m., convened by Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne at the Prime Minister’s request. 

The session, mandated under the State Finance Management Act No. 44 of 2024, was called to present the Government’s revenue strategy statement. 

An adjournment debate on the statement will continue until 4:30 p.m.
