Police have arrested a 59-year-old suspect over an alleged organised vehicle robbery operation involving vehicles advertised for sale on Facebook.

Investigators allege the group sold vehicles online before tracking buyers and robbing them to recover the vehicles.

The suspect was remanded until 16 July by the Gampaha Magistrate's Court.

The Western Province North Crime Division said several other suspects remain at large, while investigations are continuing.
