The Railways Department announced that the Yal Devi express train between Colombo Fort and Kankesanthurai will face delays from October 7 due to repair work on the Vavuniya–Omanthai railway line.

Train No. 4077 will halt at Vavuniya station for 2 hours and 40 minutes, extending its travel time until 18 October. 

Train No. 4078 from Kankesanthurai will depart 30 minutes later than usual at 11.00 a.m.

Passengers wishing to cancel reservations during this period will be eligible for a refund, the Department stated.
