Sri Lankans unable to return to Israel due to the closure of Ben Gurion Airport can now make travel arrangements via Jordan and Egypt, according to Ambassador Nimal Bandara.

Travellers may obtain short-term visas to either country and enter Israel through land border crossings, particularly near Eilat.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, in a briefing with diplomats, stated there is currently no confirmed date for the airport’s reopening.

He assured that those with urgent travel needs can use the Amman and Cairo airports to reach Israel by land.
