Prime Minister(PM) Harini Amarasuriya stated that 65 out of 102 legal cases withdrawn between 2019 and 2024 have been re-filed.

Speaking in Parliament, she said 34 cases will not be re-filed, while decisions on three cases are pending.

The Prime Minister noted that legal action is underway against individuals both inside and outside Parliament, and that cases are reviewed based on evidence, not status.
