Dr. Manilka Sumanatilleke has assumed duties as the 132nd President of the Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA), Sri Lanka’s oldest medical body. 

The induction ceremony in Colombo was attended by key officials, past presidents, and representatives from health and international organizations.

In his address, titled “Wellness in the Nation Through Local and Global Partnerships,” Dr. Sumanatilleke emphasized a shift towards patient-centered care and early prevention of non-communicable diseases. 

He highlighted the importance of Men’s Health and called for stronger collaboration among government, NGOs, and media to achieve holistic health for all Sri Lankans.
