The Ambuluwawa cable car project will be allowed to resume if it is confirmed that there is no environmental damage, Environment Minister Dr. Dammika Patabendi has stated. He has pointed out the project was temporarily halted due to complaints that were submitted. He expressed these views while speaking to the media after an inspection tour of the Ambuluwawa area.

Meanwhile, Opposition Parliamentarian Anuradha Jayaratne, who was also part of the visit, claimed the project will not cause any environmental harm to the area.
