Sumudu Rathnayaka, Consultant to the Ministry of Digital Economy, announced that all businesses now have the facility to obtain fuel QR codes for every vehicle owned by their enterprise. 

Rathnayaka explained that businesses can access these QR codes by simply registering with their Business Registration Number (BRN) and a mobile phone number. Notably, there is no need to submit a NIC to obtain the codes.

He further clarified that a single profile can generate QR codes with new fuel quotas for all vehicles operated under one business establishment, streamlining the process for businesses managing multiple vehicles.

Currently, approximately 6.4 million users are registered under the fuel QR code system. Of these, 2.8 million are newly registered vehicles, and around 100,000 users are yet to complete their registration.
