Deputy Minister Arun Hemachandra stated that fuel allowances remain unchanged but the quantity of fuel has decreased due to price increases.

He noted that allowances for April are based on 1 March, 2026 fuel prices.

Due to price revisions during March, officials receive less fuel despite the same allowance value.

The clarification follows the recent Cabinet decision on fuel allowances for Ministers, MPs, and public.
