The Subham Ferry service operating between Nagapattinam (NGP) in India and Kankesanthurai (KKS) in Sri Lanka has announced special fare reductions and additional concessions for passengers travelling this month (November).

The revised fares were announced at a media briefing held yesterday (4) at the Ferry service office in KKS. Under the special offer, the economy-class fare for adults travelling in either direction has been reduced to approximately Rs 19,250. The fare for children has been reduced to Indian Rupees 5,000. Passengers will also be allowed to carry up to 30 kilograms (kg) of checked-in luggage and seven kg of hand luggage free of charge. For baggage exceeding the complimentary allowance, the revised charges will be Rs 5,250 for an additional five kg, Rs 8,750 for 10 kg and Rs 21,000 for 30 kg. The service can accommodate a maximum of 110 passengers travelling from Nagapattinam to KKS and 150 passengers on the return journey. For passengers travelling from KKS to Nagapattinam, a Pre-Economy option is also available at INR 6,000 for adults and INR 5,500 for children. The ferry operator also announced that, unlike last year (2025), the service would continue operating during the monsoon season and would not be suspended due to seasonal rains.
