The Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) has secured victory in the Puthukkudiyiruppu Pradeshiya Sabha, gaining 11 seats with 10,816 votes.

The National People’s Power (NPP) followed with 4,028 votes and 4 seats.

The Democratic Tamil National Alliance (DTNA) obtained 2,652 votes and 2 seats.

An independent group and the All Ceylon Tamil Congress (ACTC) also won 2 and 1 seats, respectively.
