The Attorney General (AG) today (10) informed the Court of Appeal that the letter issued by the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), granting approval for a tourism promotion project targeting the LGBTQ community, will be withdrawn.

The announcement was made when a writ petition seeking to invalidate the relevant decision was taken up for consideration.

Following the submission, the Court ordered the petition to be taken up again on 4 March for further consideration.
