Leader of the Sarvajana Balaya Parliamentarian Dilith Jayaweer has urged MPs to vote against the proposed 22nd Amendment to the Constitution according to their conscience.

In a letter to MPs, he noted that the Supreme Court’s role was limited to determining the Bill’s constitutional requirements.

The Second Reading debate began in Parliament today(24), with the vote scheduled for tomorrow(25).
