The Welfare Benefits Board says July payments under the Aswesuma Welfare Benefits Scheme will be credited to beneficiaries' bank accounts today (15).

A total of Rs.11.83bn will be disbursed to 1,224,459 beneficiary families under the first and second phases of the programme.

More than Rs.9.35bn will be paid to over one million families under Phase One, while Rs.2.46bn will be credited to 211,647 families under Phase Two.
