The Sri Lankan team has won a silver medal at the SCO Summer – King of Chefs Invitational 2026 held in Qingdao on 26–27 June.

The competition featured chefs from China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

Sri Lanka was represented by chefs from Sinnara Restaurant, including Head Chef Nishad Samaranayake and Assistant Chef Manoj Liyanage.

The team presented traditional dishes such as kiribath and coconut roti, earning praise from the judges.
