The Catholic Church in Sri Lanka has declared April 19, 2026 as a day of prayer for victims of the Easter Sunday bombings.

Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Ranjith said prayer sessions will be held in all Catholic churches across the country.

He noted that prayers will seek divine guidance to reveal the truth behind the attacks, in line with the wishes of the victims’ families.
