Sri Lanka Customs has reported a significant increase in revenue, consistently exceeding its collection targets.
The department's revenue for August reached Rs. 244 billion, surpassing its monthly target of Rs. 190 billion.
The strong performance continued from previous months, with collections of Rs. 231 billion in July and Rs. 200 billion in June.
In total, Customs has generated Rs. 1,471 billion during the first eight months of the year, marking a substantial increase compared to the same period last year.
