An Indian medical team has set up a fully operational field hospital in Mahiyanganaya near Kandy, providing trauma care, surgical facilities, ambulances and other essential services to flood-affected communities.

The High Commission of India in Colombo noted in a post on X that the initiative was intended to ensure those impacted received urgent, life-saving medical support.
