The Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara informed that applications for the 2024 Grade Five Scholarship Examination will be accepted online from yesterday (27) onwards. Accordingly, online applications for the Exam will be accepted until 14 June. 

He emphasised that no applications will be accepted after midnight on 14 June, and that the deadline for submitting applications will not be extended under any circumstances. He further mentioned that applications can be submitted via the official website (onlineexams.gov.lk). 

Students in Grade 5 in Government schools or Government-approved schools are eligible to sit for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, whereas students from low-income families who are below 11 years-of-age as of 31 January, are eligible to receive scholarships.

The 2024 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination is scheduled to be held on 15 September.
