The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has stated that there is no fuel shortage in the country despite some private fuel companies reducing supplies.

CPC Chairman D.J. Rajakaruna stated that the corporation has sufficient fuel stocks and continues distribution without interruption.

He noted that 52 locations without nearby Ceypetco filling stations had been identified, with fuel companies agreeing to prioritise supplies to those areas.

Minor queues may still occur in some areas due to reduced supplies from private companies, he added.
