The Cabinet of Ministers approved appointments to the Sri Lanka Inventors’ Commission following the resignation of all previous members.

Accordingly, Prof. Veranja Karunaratne was named as Commissioner, while Senior Prof. R.M.G. Rajapaksa and N.R.S. Ariyaratne were appointed as Assistant Commissioners.

These appointments, made under Section 4(1) of the Sri Lanka Inventors Encouragement Act, No. 53 of 1979, were recommended by the Minister of Science and Technology Chrishantha Abeysena to ensure the Commission’s smooth functioning.
