The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal by the President to facilitate the temporary appointment of officers to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
The move aims to maintain the Commission’s efficiency, following the enhanced independence granted by the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023.
The decision allows the Commission to temporarily recruit suitable officers and employees from the state service, Police service, Audit service, provincial government service, and state corporations, as per the provisions of the new Act.
