Deputy Minister of Urban Development Eranga Gunasekara stated that defeated political forces are attempting to revive ethnic divisions in Sri Lanka.

He stated that such efforts should be countered through unity.

The Deputy Minister made these remarks at a Thai Pongal celebration held at the Gothatuwa Wetland Park.
