The Government plans to increase fresh milk collection from 1 million to 3 million liters per day by 2029, according to Deputy Agriculture and Livestock Minister Namal Karunaratne.

Speaking at an event, the Deputy Minister said dairy collection centers will be set up in every veterinary division to support this initiative.

Farmers will also receive financial aid and technical assistance through these centers, aimed at boosting local milk production and reducing reliance on imports.
