The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) revealed that a total of 50,009 electricity breakdowns were reported across the country within the 24-hour period ending at 8.00 p.m. yesterday (30), due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
According to the CEB, power was already restored to 14,031 of those cases, while efforts are underway to resolve the rest.
The CEB also urged consumers to remain patient and extend fullest cooperation to restore power safely and efficiently.
