A warm weather advisory has been issued for parts of the country, with heat levels expected to rise tomorrow (20).
The Department of Meteorology stated that the heat index is likely to reach ‘Caution Level’ in Northern, North-Central, North-Western, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Eastern and Southern provinces, and in Monaragala district.
Authorities warned that prolonged sun exposure may cause fatigue, while continued outdoor activity could lead to heat cramps.
The public has been advised to stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activities.
