A national conference on Sri Lanka’s nuclear energy preparedness begins today in Colombo, organized by the Atomic Energy Board. 

Running until 18 July, the event will focus on governance, safety, technical training, and international cooperation. 

Experts, policymakers, and IAEA representatives will discuss nuclear energy’s role in boosting long-term energy security and electricity capacity.
