Two persons, including a woman, have been injured and hospitalised after a car veered off the road and plunged down a precipice in the Lower Ravana Falls area along the Ella–Wellawaya road.

Police stated that the car was driven by the woman at the time of the accident. 

The injured, both from Tissamaharama, have been admitted to the Badulla Teaching Hospital.
