The Kandy-Matale road (A9) has been temporarily closed at Akurana due to a fire that broke out in a shop at Akurana and has spread to several adjacent shops in the vicinity today (5), according to police.

Accordingly, motorists are kindly advised to use alternate routes to avoid inconveniences.
