MP Hector Appuhamy has been elected Chair of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Environment, Agriculture, and Resource Sustainability.

The election took place during the committee’s inaugural meeting in Parliament, with his nomination proposed by MP Kins Nelson and seconded by MP Gnanamuththu Srineshan.

Appuhamy expressed the committee’s dedication to environmental protection and outlined plans to advance agriculture with international collaboration and stakeholder support.
