The "Dharma Rashmi" Poson zone held in view of the Poson festival tomorrow (03), centered in Homagama will be held from the 3rd-5th of June 2023.

The Poson zone will be held covering Homagama town, Homagama railway junction, Pitpana junction, Godagama junction, the road in front of Panagoda army camp and the playground of Mahinda Rajapaksha Vidyalaya.

This was made known by the Police Media Division.

The zone will be held from 6pm to 12pm midnight.

The traffic plan for the area will be stated below.

❖ Heavy vehicles travelling from Colombo to Avissawella by the high level road

All heavy vehicles except passenger buses can arrive in Kottawa town and go to Athurugiriya junction through Athurugiriya road and Rukmalgama, and drive towards avissawella by entering the 174 bus route and turning right towards Godagama junction.

❖ Heavy vehicles travelling from Avissawella to Colombo by the high level road

All heavy vehicles except passenger buses can travel towards Colombo from Kottawa by turning right from Godagama junction, driving towards Athurugiriya junction on the 174 bus route, then turning right to enter Kottawa through Rukmalgama.

❖ Heavy vehicles travelling from Colombo to Katuwana industrial zone by the high level road 

Heavy vehicles can travel towards the Katuwana industrial zone can arrive in Kottawa, turn right to Maththegoda junction through Maththegoda road, turn left, drive to Diyagama junction through Dole Kade junction, turn left and enter the zone through Uduwana junction.

❖ Heavy vehicles exiting from the Katuwana industrial zone

Vehicles can exit by driving towards Diyagama junction through Udugama junction, turning right to Maththegoda junction, and turning right to the high level road from Kottawa.

❖ Heavy vehicles travelling towards the train station junction from hospital junction, Old road, Kottawa

Vehicles can turn right from Walawwa junction and drive to Diyagama junction through Dole Kade junction, turn left and enter Athurugiriya Homagama road from Bamboo bush junction through Nagara Seema road.

❖ Vehicles can enter the high level through the Meegoda economic center by driving in one direction from school junction in Moragahahena road to Meegoda Dampe Junior school through Mahinda Rajapaksha Vidyalaya.

❖ Vehicles won't be allowed to enter the Mahinda Rajapaksha Vidyalaya Poson zone from the Meegoda Dampe Junior school junction.

Legal measures will be taken against people who pollute the environment and disturb religious devotees by drinking and acting inappropriately.

Measures have been taken to ensure safety inside the Poson zone.
