Adjournment debate in Parliament to mark International Women’s Day

Parliament will meet from 3 to 6 March, Secretary-General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera stated.


The decision was taken at the Committee on Parliamentary Business chaired by Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne.


On 3 March, the Order under the Foreign Exchange Act, published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2467/67, will be debated following Questions for Oral Answers.


The Second Reading of the Microfinance and Credit Regulatory Authority Bill is scheduled for 4 March.


An adjournment debate to mark International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8, will be held on 5 March.
