Three more suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of a man who was travelling in a car at Nagahawatte in Meegoda on 14 December, according to the Police Media Division.  

The arrests were made on the evening of Sunday (22) in the Homagama and Meegoda Police divisions. The suspects, aged 22, 26, and 38, are residents of the Padukka and Meegoda areas. Among these arrested suspects, one has been identified as having accompanied the shooter during the crime, while the other two are accused of aiding, abetting, and conspiring to commit the murder. 

On 19 December, the Police arrested two suspects, a primary participant of the crime and an accomplice, following investigations. Information obtained through the interrogation of these suspects had led to the arrest of the three suspects during the weekend.

Further investigations into the shooting are being carried out by the Meegoda Police and the Western Province (South) Crime Division.
