Police launched an investigation into a shooting incident that took place in the Gampaha town yesterday (15). 

According to Police, the shooting was carried out at around 8.25 p.m. by two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle.

The said assailants, who reportedly fled the scene after the attack, had targeted a small lorry. 

While no one travelling in the lorry sustained injuries from the attack, Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
