The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment has stated that no Sri Lankan nationals have been reported affected by flash floods in Nepal’s Gorkha District.

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Kathmandu is maintaining contact with the Sri Lankan community in the affected area and providing updates on the situation. It has also issued travel advisories for Sri Lankans.

The flooding, reported in the early hours of 11 October, has left several people missing and damaged roads, houses and bridges, according to Nepalese media reports.
