Rs. 173 million has been allocated to develop the ‘Arugam Bay Sunset View’ location as part of plans to boost tourism in Ampara District.

Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath stated that district-level tourism development funding will be provided directly from 2027.

A district committee will also be established to address tourism-related issues and meet every two months.
