Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne stated that GovTech will replace the Information and Communication Technology Agency under a new digital governance framework.

GovTech will function as the government’s main technical body to implement digital policies and improve public service delivery.

The initiative has secured support from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank for digital transformation projects.
