Two Indian nationals have been rescued after being swept away by a strong sea current while bathing off Mirissa Beach.

The 28-year-old and 29-year-old men were rescued by the Kotawila Police Life Saving Unit on 31 October and given first aid.

Kotawila Police are conducting further investigations.
