The Ministry of Trade is investigating whether bakery and canteen owners are passing on the benefits of a stronger Sri Lankan Rupee and reduced ingredient costs to consumers. 

Complaints have been received by the Consumer Affairs Authority regarding the lack of price reductions in bakery products. 

Plans are in place to summon bakery and canteen owners for discussions on adjusting prices.
