The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) has reported that dengue cases in Sri Lanka have risen to 61,060 so far this year.

A total of 2,604 new cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, with the Western Province accounting for the highest number of infections at 32,054 cases, the NDCU stated.
