The Department of Meteorology has issued an ‘Amber’ advisory for high waves of 2.0 to 3.0 metres in sea areas from Chilaw to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle and Matara.

The advisory is in effect until 12.00 noon tomorrow (14).

Naval and fishing communities have been urged to remain vigilant.
